Multiple FAPP Local 1 Members were recognized as the inaugural class of "Master Clinicians" for their outstanding clinical performance within the department and continued commitment to patient care and dedication to educational initiatives within the department.

The Fraternal Association of Professional Paramedics Local 1 would like to congratulate Cory O'Connor on his victory in the 2025 Mayoral Primary for the City of Pittsburgh. Cory has secured the Democratic Party nomination for Mayor of Pittsburgh.

Paramedic Crew Chief Nick Okwiya, who also serves as the Treasurer of FAPP Local 1, and Division Chief Pinchalk were recognized as recipients of the 2025 Community Liver Alliance's "You Make a Difference" Award. Both were nominated by the Allegheny County Health Department for their work on the Pittsburgh EMS program that brings Hepatitis C testing and Hepatitis A vaccinations directly to those most at risk in our communities. This initiative is groundbreaking in the region and was done in support with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Actions like this show's our members and Pittsburgh EMS's commitment to our community!
